So what exactly is self care?

It’s not an easy question to answer because it’s different for everyone. Generally speaking though, it’s the activities we engage in to get and maintain an optimal level of overall physical, mental and emotional health. It’s the one thing that’s missing for someone who’s busy and stressed because it’s easy to forget to take care of yourself.

If you are like most women, you probably deal with a lot of crap. This can be stress from your job, financial situation, relationships, or other personal hang-ups. Self care is important for stress relief because it provides activities that help you decompress, improve your mood, and help you take better care of yourself.

WHAT’S YOUR IDEAL DAILY SELF CARE ROUTINE?

How do you plan your self care routine?

A regular routine can give you an anchor and sense of control over your life. There are a number of activities that you will want to include in your daily schedule. These activities include food preparation time, social time, exercise time, outdoor time and some pampering time. This will enable you to gain some benefit if you lack at all in these areas.

The aim with this page is not to necessarily plan your day, but to use it as a blueprint for attaining a sustainable routine that you’re willing to try.

HOW ARE YOU CARING FOR YOUR SOUL?

Am I living my life based on my passions, desires, and purpose, or am I just living to make it to the next day? What is important to you about living authentically?

One of the top recommendations for practicing self care on a routine basis is to start a journal. I Discovered Me is not just a journal that only allows you room to just write.
